There’s a certain kind of childhood you never really outgrow. The one with soft nursery light, well-loved picture books, and little rituals that become family lore.

At Fledge & Thread, we create baby and children’s essentials that feel like they belong in those memories. Every piece begins in our small Perth studio, where we dream, draw, and develop our hand-illustrated designs in-house, with storytelling and softness at the centre. 

How Fledge & Thread began

Fledge & Thread started in the quiet hours of early motherhood. Our little girl was just four months old and while she would sleep, I found myself picking up a paintbrush, searching for the right soft furnishings to bring warmth and nostalgia to our children’s spaces. What began as hand-painted pieces for their walls grew into children’s apparel, bedding and so much more.

We believe children’s pieces should be made with love, for the little ones who wear them and the world they grow into. We design in-house in Perth, and we use 100% organic cotton and 100% cotton yarns across our clothing and bedding collections. We work with trusted makers (including long-term partners in China and independent artisans around the world), and we aim to create pieces worth keeping.

Stockists, delivery, and returns

If you’d like to shop in person, you can find our stockists via our store map. We ship from our Perth studio and offer worldwide delivery, with orders typically leaving within 1–3 business days (as outlined in our shipping information).

For peace of mind, we offer a 30-day return window (items must be new, unused/unwashed, with tags and original packaging).
